Simulation engineer

We are searching for an intelligent and innovative colleague in the field of Sustainable Digital Packaging Innovation. If you are interested in working for a young, dynamic company with a highly motivated team willing to make sustainable impact, we look forward to receiving your application.

In this rewarding position, you would be helping us deliver features that directly impact our customers and the planet as a simulation engineer – Sustainable packaging delivery you would have the opportunity to drive these features in all phases of conception.

Your tasks:

• Take ownership of developing and maintaining simulation of the packaging and its production
• Implementation of the simulation using an open-source computing platform in C++ or Python
• Validation and calibration of the models based on measurement data
• Constantly applying, improving and pushing the limits of simulation
• Documentation of simulation models
• Quickly grow and lead Digimind contribution to a German research consortium, that is driving the application of machine learning on plastic packaging for a more sustainable future working with leading academic and industrial partners.

Your profile:

• MSc in Physics, Mathematics, Mechanical Engineering, Computational Mechanics or equivalent
• Strong coding skills in C++ or Python
• Extensive knowledge of the finite element method
• Strong understanding of physical systems, its description through partial differential equations and simulation thereof
